The Nike Air Max 95 was the first of its kind when it was released in 1995. Although Nike had been releasing shoes with a visible heel air unit for over 8 years the 95 was the first to feature visible air in both the forefoot and heel. This new air unit was revolutionary as it actually used different air pressures in different parts of the shoe to create a perfect cushioning system for the entire foot. At first, the Air Max 95 was designed for performance and function, but lately has been bought more for fashion and casual wear. Runners demanding high performance shoes now purchase the newest designs such as the Nike Free and Nike Air Max 360. Whilst Many can’t help but fall in love with the design and shape of the Nike Air Max 95’s other collectors believe things went rather steadily downhill after the 93 model. Either way, The Air Max 95 remains a favorite among people from all walks of life from café society yuppies to Gym Junkies to Hip Hop Moguls.
